Default 1998 timing belt kit

Does this look like a good kit with oem parts?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Aisin...Q5fAccessories

Approx how much savings is here compared to the dealership?
Thanks

Looks good to me I would expect dealer cost to be around $600.The water pump alone is more than the kit!
Aisin Warner make the transmissions for the LS so I would assume it is a division of them that makes this kit.
The only thing missing is there are 2 idler bearings unless they have changed the set up ( my 1994 has 2).but even if you have to buy another it is still a very good price,

It looks like its approx. $100 savings from the dealer. I paid about $300 for all those items at the Lexus dealer. The kit looks good but lacks a tensioner ($45), which personally, I would change when doing this job.

looks good to me, if you do it, let us know how it turned out.... I have 2 of them a few miles away....
on my 97, I paid about that same price for aftermarket parts.

If they really are OEM parts, that looks like a great deal. Let us know how things turn out.

Not sure what tensioner and belt they are using, but the water pump is legit. I'm sure the kit as a whole is good.

Might call Carson and see what their price is as a comparison. For my past buys, they are a good bit lower.

yes they are OEM..

well, the Aisin parts came in today. the belt is a Mitsuboshi CD298, the bearings are both Koyo, from JTEKT corp in Japan (this is the same Aisin kit that partsbin sells for 240.95) on ebay it was 189.95, the water pump was aisin, with gaskets & o ring. the aftermarket parts from PartsDinosaur are lower in price and the pump and seals are also for sale there.
so it is up to you, OEM or aftermarket...
good luck

I ordered the kit plus tensioner from them today. Total shipped was 242.85.

www.triangleautosupply.com is the company selling the kits on ebay.
