I ended up cutting a window in the side with an exacto knife. I put the cut out piece back in and sealed it up. Noone's ever noticed.
Or you can order them from Upgarage or YAJ.

Sorry, no pics. When you take it out, use an exacto and cut a window about 1.5"x1.5". That way you can get a screw driver in there and you might have to break the orange lens up with needle nose pliers to get it all out. Once it all out place the window back in place and use crazy glue to seal it up. I put aluminum tape over it as well for good measure.

Decided to do the UCA clearance mod today. Dropped by my friend's shop Jason Noren Fabrications in upland. At first I was just going to leave it be a circular hole but Jason suggested that we cover up the hole with a box. Here are the results. Glad to say my UCA doesnt bang against my car anymore
Getting started
Hole halfway cut
Hole completely cut, UCA visible
Measuring placement for the box
Box complete, mock test fit not welded onto car yet
Paint grinded off to prepare for welds
Up close of the tig welding
So we figured out the hood wouldnt close because the hood struts would touch the box. Modifications were made so the hood would close but still have the box there
Final design of the uca box that clears the hood struts

looks clean, going to spray it black to match?
the boxing came into play when civics/accords back in the day had to do it when really low, and those cars being macpherson strut it made a big difference in rigidity as lateral force is transmitted in the shock tower.
in the LS, with its double wishbone suspension, that isnt really a concern, so the boxing is really just for looks and to keep your bay a little cleaner.
work looks top notch though
