it's there, but you have to go through the fender liner. remove the front wheel, remove the fender liner on the driver's side and you'll see the grommet that passes through the firewall.
my thread, though for an air ride setup on a 97, shows how to route the wires with pictures.

Yeah, you're run-of-the-mill amp kit won't work on this car haha. For me, I managed with the 17ish feet of wire power wire and 3 feet of ground, but I had to get new RCAs (a 25 foot set of Scosche EFX - WONDERFUL for this car - though I'd say you're good with 20ish feet unless you're really meticulous about running an obstacle course with the wire). When I did my install, I went through that driver's side wiring harness grommet you see toward the top left of the photo. It took me at least 20 minutes to cut a sizable hole for the wire (4 gauge) to pass through.

- 0/1 AWG power wire (20 feet color/3 feet black)
- Knukonceptz KNF-60 Distribution Block
- 4 AWG (10 feet color/10 feet black)
Essentially, you would be running the (colored) 0/1 AWG from the battery to the block and (black) from the block to the ground point. Then, run the 4 AWG (colored) from the block to both amps' power leads and run the 4 AWG (black) from the amps' ground leads to the block.
Here's a diagram to further illustrate:

The way I see it, you spend less on wire (even moreso, if you reuse the 4 AWG wire you ran previously) and you get some "Cool Points" from car audio buffs. The best thing about that distro block is you can fuse each of the cords going to the amplifier as an added failsafe! Not to mention the modular design which allows you to change it to suit your ever-changing build.
