Hey all I have a choice to get an LS430 from 2004-2006 or a GS430 that's a 2006. I love both cars, but I am in a dilemma. The GS430 is more futuristic and has better looks to me but not as roomy as the LS430 that's not as modern. I really don't know what to get. BTW I am only 28 years old( I look like I am 22). Which car do you think will best suit me? Thanks in advance!

gs430 is fun to drive. but im also looking to get a 04-06 ls430 to go with the 06 gs430. i think you should get what you want, test drive both and see which is better for your needs

I went from a 06 gs300 to a ls430. I loves the switch becuase I'm always on the road so the ls suit me more for the comforts. Don't get me wrong though the gs is very nice looking and it's more sportier. Also I feel you on the age thing I'm 25 and I still look like a minor lol

For your age, and assuming you don't have a family yet, then I would say get the GS. The LS is more to enjoy and cruise with the family and enjoy the quietness. You'd probably want a more "sporty" car so the GS will fit the bill better. Drive it 10 years, then when you're ready with your spouse and kids, then upgrade then to a LS.

+2 for test driving both..
my only complaint about ls430 is the outdated navi system, well the fact that it's an older model. other than that it's a spectacular vehicle imo, loaded with options, spacious rear seats, quite interior with no rattles(w/ 50k miles), comfortable ride, etc. it's kind of car that you just wanna leave it alone..
GS is more sportier looking vehicle. LS certainly has more leg room in the back, but gs still has pretty decent space also. mind you though, gs is known for rattles and squeaks. even my 08 is suffering with rattles from dashboard and windows. there's a lot of brake dusts from front wheels which need to be washed frequently. can't really comment on the ride since i have an awd, but once you lower it and slap some wheels, i think gs is one of the best looking sedans out there. many people might disagree though lol.. just my opinion.

i had the same dilemma a couple of months ago,06 gs430 or 04-06 ls430, i am now the proud owner of a 2004 ls430. but i drive almost 150 miles everyday on the highway. thats why i went for the ls430 (air suspension).

i was wrestling with this choice last year leaving a 2gs (99 gs400) and unsure about upgrading to the new 3gs so i started to look for alternatives because coming from the 2gs i couldn't stand what they had done to the 3gs so i ended up with an 05 ls430 ul.
in my opinion you need only to look at your driving habits to decide which is the best car for you. in a perfect world i wanted an LS that drove like a GS but these don't exist. now i just miss my spirited driving so i'll prolly end up with a second car (weekend sports car) say march of 2010
after winter.
the ls is boring to drive but better in every other category to me when compared to the gs.

well okay compared to a TT or wow... a 900hp T supra then yeah pretty boring as well.
one of my coworkers just had his car re-tuned and brought it into work today with race fuel and a new dyno sheet showing 647 hp and like 600 tq in a evo and took me for a ride at lunch. pretty nice and exciting to drive and to ride i might add so yeah a gs would definitely be boring when compared to a lot of other cars
