Mirror folding motors.

Mirror folding motors.
Hi everyone. My left mirror folds ok but doesn't adjust up or down and my right mirror adjusts fine but sometimes does not fold all the way.
I ordered a left replacement mirror off eBay and was wandering if I can take a folding motor out of my left mirror and relace the one in the right mirror? Are these motors the same or not?

I just fixed mine yesterday with compressed air can. I might have to do it again with a MAF cleaner or something similar as it is still not perfect.

I'd guess that the actual motor is the same for left or right mirror. It looks like a little toy car motor with a shaft with a gear turning a worm gear.
I took apart my Passenger mirror. I wasn't folding in, but I could hear the motor turning. It was $850 for a new mirror so I decided to fix it myself. Even though Lexus Dealer told me there are no serviceable parts.
How to get inside the Folding Mirror of a LS430
1. Take off door panel and remove mirror
2. Take the black rubber piece holding in the glass off. - be careful
3. Then there are 4 screws holding the mirror clamshell together these are hidden behind the mirror glass!
If I were you I'd buy a mirror on Ls430 ebay and use the guts to fix your mirror.
Mine had a Bent Shaft and broken tab that was holding the worm gear against the motor gear. With some crazy glue I fixed the tab and I straightened the shaft with a hammer.
I suspect someone bumped the mirror while walking next to the car and bent the shaft and broke the tab.
Good Luck
