Fuel Door sign on dash...won't go away...
My father noticed that the "Fuel Door" sign keeps popping up on the dash. It was unrelated to fueling up the car and won't go away even after we pop open the door and close it. Its not the most annoying sign as its white and blends in with the rest of the dash and doesn't beep but its irking...anybody have this problem?

The "Fuel Door" indicator in the dash is always on. There's an arrow adjacent to it, which points to which side of the car the filler cap is located.
Just Lexus trying to help us if we forget which side the filler is on. Now if they could just devise something to help us remember what all the dash indicators mean and whether we remembered when we last really looked at them!

I don't see any fuel door indicator light. I have a fuel door arrow and label above the gas gauge that simply says the door is on the left side, but no light that illuminates when the door is open. My owners manual says the same - no indicator when the door is open. Is this something that was added in 2006?

are you referring to this icon on the instrument panel? I really doubt there is a light behind it. As mentioned before, it simply provide the drive with the information that the fuel door is located on the left side of the car. Are you referring to some other indicator?
