that shiz looks nice for going over bumps and what not. i wonder what the pro's and con's would be of this though?? i am almost as low as a dd should be for the obstacles i have to occasionally tackle but this i guess could allow me to go a slight bit lower, but would it make it that much more of a harsh ride??

No not really, it to eliminate chassis flex and spring, not engine movement.

Im waiting to hear from my chassis expert too see what he thinks of the idea. If hes happy with it, then ill order a set.

Considering "Spoon" installs them in their cars, thats pretty promising.

I'd have this if it I didn't have almost 200K on it. Maybe I'll trade for a newer LS430 and do this mod.

You can use a broker to get them in from Japan if you like... or purchase them on YahooJapan, use a Tenso address if they dont ship to the US.

I have a few brokers here i use in Australia. Surely there are brokers in the US for hard to get Jap stuff..

I cant see why you couldnt do this on a car with high mileage..

I have found a Spoon outlet in english. It's RHDJapan. They sell Spoon, JDM and more. They do ship to the USA. They seem to be mainly marketing to Honda folks but I have sent them a message to confirm that they will sell Spoon part number 50261-UC3-000. Their prices are discounted and shipping to the states is around $45 so the total is around $257.

They used to sell regularly on eBay but haven't done so lately. Last feedback is from April '10. Their feedback is good with over 6,000 transactions.

That video is utter bull****.

The 'demonstration' of body stability being reduced after fitting the collars is a farce. The car is driven over the block at a faster speed in the first video, causing the suspension to lift higher when it hits the block. The second video is with the car moving slower, so the suspension doesn't recoil so much, and therefore doesn't lift the body so high.

it's even more evident in the 'side-by-side' video, as you can see the wheels of the car are much more blurred in the lower video when compared to the top one. This is becuase they have had to slow the two video to different frame rates to make their slow motion speed appear the same.

As for the video, well, i just found the info and posted it. A chassis dyno will prove or bust the effects of the collars without a doubt..
