Hidden treasures under the seats
Well, at least I was searching for them. Nothing but a broken pencil, some string, and a little plastic.
I was kind of disappointed. The installer, who was swapping my sub for a new ML and also installing the Grom adapter, mentioned finding all kinds of things in peoples cars. Including bags of crack cocaine and who knows what else.
Anyway, here are a few shots. I did not admire his job and I am glad I did not tackle it on my own. Very hard with the UL back seat...
Here are a few pics what it looks like stripped down.

Those last two shots are how the air blows up in the lower seat. Into the plastic chamber. And what's up with the two wires in the air chamber? That's the path from the filter up. They were put there for a reason. Right in the middle. If you look closely at the first shot your can see the air tubing and the oblong hole where it attaches to the seat.
No rattles at all. The UL is really really quiet. Almost too quiet. Michelin's help too. If the stereo is off the loudest noise is you shifting the leather when move on the seat. Would be nice to dynomat it too. Might do that one day. You're right. The seats are not that bad If you know what you are doing. Don't forget to condition your rubber weather stripping. Keeps it pliable. Shin Etsu.
