there are 8 diffewrent 1990 ls400 radios. which one do you need. there are 4 nakamichi system and 4 pioneer system.of the 4 pioneer system radios 2 have cd buttons and 2 dont. of the 2 in each category one is for leather interior and one is for cloth interior. the id number of the radio is on the cassette flap door if you are tring rto treplace a broken one. what is the number. p624 or p626 are the most common.

do you have leather or cloth interior? now would be the time to switch to the cd button radio and youncould install a factory lexus cd changewr . this plays directly into the amplifier fore the best sound in an oem production car.

how would I do that in a cost effective way? I just tried to put in what I thought was the right stereo to find that for some reason it is not he same all the plugs and wires match up, but the oem stereo was P623 and the one I bought was P624. I've seen the CD stock stereos they have more conection points in the back. I have the cloth interior, wich all but blows my mind as to why this would affect the stereo(but I know somehow it does)
