it isnt, its a special port designed to help maximize the low end torque we get out of these cars. dont believe me then search for it under JBrady's posts.
give rhino autoparts a try, i called them about a year or so ago since my pipe had its vacuum fittings EPOXIED ON and it was mucking up the PS system cost me like $130ish w/shipping.

Don't care enough to search for it.
I know where a '97 is at for parts local, I'll have to drop by and see if the intake boot is still attached to the motor. I have to drop off an OM603 Diesel MB motor to be shipped there so I'll check.
