FS: 97 Lexus LS400 calipers
Hi All,
I have a set of used front & rear calipers with OEM pads from a 97 Lexus LS400. These were intended for one of my upgrade mods but came to find out that they don't fit on my 1st Gen. Therefore, I would like to put these up for sale in the amount of $275. Here are some pictures:
I'm in San Diego area, you can either PM me or contact me at (619) 817-5840. Thanks for looking !
Danny

Richonenz - Please define "bolt straight on". These are not direct bolt on without some type of modifications. You have to either shave the bolt and/or the caliper in order for these to fit. The other option would be to purchase the RCA, which there are no local vendors selling these for the 1st Gen GS300.

I have these same calipers on my first gen , the calipers do bolt straight on but you do need to also change the lower ball joint , the earlier units actually have a step up on them and this is what the caliper fouls on , the 95 and later lower ball joints come out flat and then you have the clearance you need , cost?
About $90.00 per pair .
The other consideration is that the locating spigot for the wheels and disc on 4 spot models jumps from 60 mm to 62 mm , so when you go to fit the later bigger disc's to go with the caliper the centre hole is 2 mm bigger , it would be quite fine to use the two locating screws to centre the disc as it gets clamped when you bolt the wheel up , but seeing as I had wheel locating spigots anyway I just machined up some new ones with a lip to locate the disc on as well .
Really not an issue but I thought I'd mention it .

Any 1/2 decent mechanic should be able to replace a lower ball joint , remove and replace a caliper with another that bolts straight on with the same bolts and fit a new disc and then bleed the brakes .
