FS 95-00 LS400 OEM F+R caliper rebuild kits $100 , no more spongy pedal
This is the one upgrade needed to return your spongy pedal to stiff as a rock when done.
It is new seals for the pistons , seals brake fluid .
New dust covers for the outside of the piston . keeps dirt outside of the hydraulic system and corrosion from getting on the piston causing it to not engage with poor braking performance and a spongy brake pedal .
It takes about 20 minutes for each rear caliper and 40 for the fronts as they have 4 cylinders.
For the rear it comes with 2 inner seals and 2 outer 1 each 1 pair for each piston.
A pair of dust covers for the slider pins a new brake line gasket ,doesn't need to be used if not removing the line .
a pack of pink brake seal grease to put on each piston for reinstallation.
bleeder valve caps.
The fronts are the same x8 instead of 2 for the rear.
8 Inner seals , 8 dust covers , 2 brake lline gaskets , 1 pack of pink lube .
tools needed are a small flat head scredriver , sockets a 14 mm , 17mm and 10 mm, plus removing wheels nuts.
