Does XM/Sirius have any renewal 'deals' going now?
I mean 'deals' for the subscriber.

I paid $77 for first year now they want $167. Guess since they merged they don't have any competition anymore.

Remember the operator Ernestine on Laugh-In?
"Provide good service, rates?" ... "We don't have to"

I don't think there are any, but this is the place to get that kind of info, or post your question there -

BTW, I wouldn't prepay any long term subscriptions, XM/Sirius may not be around long term.

This web site suggests that somone was able to sign up for the $77 promotion as recent as May of this year.

That's just great and I just bought the lifetime subscription. Man I wish I read this thread earlier. As for deals there is definitely none to speak of.

It's not our lifetime, but the life of the radio. Kind of misleading...
I think they will be around for a long time...

I have Sirius in my BMW and XM in my LS 460. What's screwed up, both
accounts are seperate, so I don't receive a discount for a second radio. I also listen on my I Phone and have to pay an extra 2.99 per month...

Actually the lifetime subscription has worked very well for me. At the time I signed up with Sirius, they allowed 4 new car changes for the lifetime subscription. I don't recall that there was any time limit put on it either. My problem was when I was shopping for my LS, the only way to go was with XM, but I had a Sirius account. Thanks to VAIS Technology, I purchased their converter and a "universal" Sirius receiver that I can now move to any car. For me I wanted to keep use of the sharkfin antenna and use the stock head unit. It all works beautifully! At this point I'm on my way to getting my monies worth. 49 months=$10.18/month.

Whit, before you call XM/Sirius, don't forget to review my phone conversations with them so you don't make the same mistakes!
