Very high mileage cars
Curious to know how many people have very high mileage LS460's, with more than 100K miles on them.
Obviously the older models (LS400, 430), by virtue of age have now proven themselves. Seeing that the oldest LS460 would now be almost 6 years old, would be interesting to see how they compare. More toys on newer models also means more things can break too...
Anyone here care to share any stories on how their high mileage cars fair so far.
NB: Yes, I've searched and found some useful info, but most threads are quite old, so I thought I'd revive the topic a bit.

My first 2007 LS460 before it was totaled (back in April) had over 149K, she was running like new before the end, I had no issues with the car and did all the maintenance on time. The electronics on the these cars are solid so I would not worry about the toys IMO the 460 will hold up well over 200K.

I have an issue with what ppl refer to as very high mileage. 100k miles is nothing on even a modestly looked after Lexus. I don't pamper mine too much, and it has 217k miles. I just got back from a 3k mile road trip, and it didn't use a drop of oil. AC is still cold as can be. I just replaced the timing belt and water pump before I left, and it feels ready to go 300k miles.

You are correct the LS460/600h have timing chains not belts, maybe he owns a LS430 that has a timing belt and you have to replace the water pump when you change the belt. I had to do the same on my LS430 around 90K, i had a little over 120K.

However, most warranties end at these mileages and hence these figure get taken as milestones for high mileage cars, so I'm generalising a bit and using them. I acknowledge these cars can go beyond that - my question is more around curiosity in terms of how many have as yet, as these are still "younger" models.

When I purchased my 2007 I didn't worry about mileage as I know Toyota's having a stellar reputation on their motors running for well over 200K. My 96 4Runner has 240K and the motor is still running strong. I do worry about the electronics but I haven't heard anything bad so far.

07, 106k. No problems mechanically. Wife just up graded her 1999 Camry solara that had 225k. I expect 250 from my 07. We may have spent 3k on engine work on the 99 at most.

My 08 LS600hL just turned over 140k. Most people think it only has 40k miles on it. The previous owner kept it in meticulous shape. When I was shopping I saw a few that had 70k miles on it and were in rough shape. Interior was all scuffed up and the bumpers needed repainting from rough highways. It all boils down to care and maintenance. I have no doubt this car will see 300k relatively trouble free miles.
