Default Dead Battery

Woke up this morning and tried to start my '11 SWB LS and all I got was clicking and a low battery warning. Called Lexus Roadside Assistance and they had someone out within an hour and he said the battery was gone He replaced the battery in 10 minutes under warranty (I have 48k miles) for no charge. Great response and service!!

It seems that 3 years and 48k miles is kind of short for a battery life although I guess that OEM batteries have a shorter life. I wonder if I should be concerned about something draining the battery.

One of the major causes of discharged batteries in these cars is defective door jamb switches.

It may or may not have been the battery. Did he do a load test on it?

Yep. He said it was dead and wouldn't take a charge. I could have let him try to jump it and take the car to the dealership but I figured that it was being replaced under warranty and if it was really bad the dealership was just going to replace it anyway. I'll be taking it in soon for the 50k mile service and I'll have them check it for battery drain issues.

If one of the cells had shorted then it may well just be the battery. Let's hope so! I usually get 6-7 years from an OEM battery. Nice that they replaced it without pro-rating.
