![Question](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
Helo everyone I have one quick question, I am looking at a 2000 LX 470 and the sales person said that it had xeon/hid headlights? Is this possible. I have never seen any Lx's with anything other than standard halogen headlights. Does this guy know whats he is talking about or what. Please let me know.
Thanks,
Peter

Peter,
The dealer is clueless. The LX470 has never been equipped with HIDs, even the 04s don't have it. Nor do the new GX470s. The only Lexus SUVs to have them are the RXs with Nav from 01+.

I thought he was wrong...I have yet to see them on any of the 470's. I just wanted someone elses thought on the subject. Thanks for you input, I am going to look at the LX tomorrow anyway, but thought that it would be nice if it were so equiped...but I knew better. But we can hope can't we?
thanks,

with HIDs for quite awhile, basically (almost) since the introduction in 98. I never figured why Toyota have not brought it here.
I am, personally, as upset that they never made the console cooler box available here.

I would be very curious to see some photos of an LX470 with HIDs. Also, if they are available on LXs outside of the US, are these autoleveling as well? If so, I'm guessing you couldn't just "add" them to a US version. Makes you wonder why they don't make for the US???

Well, HIDs do not look any different. After all its just the bulbs and the electrics but look at www.lexus.com.au the Lexus Australia web site.
Why do the headlight need to be self levelling, when the LX470 itself is self levelling. Or is the US version of the LX470 not self levelling?
