Default Has anyone fitted 285/70/R17 onto LX470?

Hi
I can get a set of 5 285/70/R17 off early 200 series and was wanting to know if they would fit without issues or serious mods. I currently have original rims with 265/65/17 rims and the tyres are shot so its time to look at the options. I am a 59 year old guy who loves a smooth ride (7 series BMW is my other car) and I have had nothing but crap results listening to 4x4 shops about suspension etc on multiple Landcruisers in the past
I am also happy to stick with stock sizes if there are downsides with this option but in the land of mining millionaires who love to spend huge dollars we pay through the nose for everything. A new Ram runs probably $120k to $200k + and they sell like hotcakes to tradies, just to give some perspective.
