I am wanting to buy a canoe and I already have the stock roof racks on my LX. Does anyone know if that is all that I should need? Or is there something else I need to buy. I know they are for luggage but I don't see why I could not use them to support the canoe. The weight limit on the rack says 150lbs is the limit, and most canoes are around 80 to 100 pounds. Any input would be great thanks.

The best thing to do is buy a yakima rack that goes on top of your factory rack. I have one one mine and it looks and works great for the canoe. You can then but the canoe attachment the has rollers and is specially made to hold canoes. You wil need to buy the LOWRIDERS and BARS and these will mount onto you factory rack and allow for the canow attachment.
