I have an '04 Land Cruiser, but since the LX is basically the same vehicle I was wondering if any of you knew the answer. I thought I read somewhere that the '03-'04 LC/LX are drive-by-wire, is that true?
I can't find anything definitive, the only thing I found was "Electronic Throttle Control w/Intelligence".

I have a 99 LX and I am 99.99999% sure it is not drive by wire. I've had the battery out of the car and when I step on the gas, the throttle cable moves and when I step on the brakes, the caliper does tighten a bit.
