I have a very good relationship with a Toyota dealer, having purchased three cars from them. I was just curious if it was possible for them to order a Lexus for me. Has anyone tried that?

Never heard of such a thing.
Give the Lexus dealership a shot -- they might surprise you. My local dealership has shown excellent customer service during and after my purchase.

Not all dealerships are the same tho' so ya never know...

I'm not saying the Lexus dealer wouldn't have great service. It's just that I've gotten great price breaks through the Toyota guy. For example, I purchased a Prius from him a little over a year ago and sold it this month (it's no fun to drive) for $1,000 less than I paid for it new (after putting 13,000 miles on it.) Now the ever increasing price of gas coupled with the long waiting list on the new Prius certainly helped but he still has a great no-haggle, best-price policy. I have an e-mail in to him now - I'll let you know what he says.

And if the answer is no (I expect it will be) I'll contact my friendly, local Lexus dealer.
