Lx470 Rims??
Hey guys, just got an '05 LX470 and want to put on rims. I have a friend who siad that his friend had rims on his LX but said that it significantly screwed up the ride making it to bumpy and making it very uncomfortable. Anyone have rims on their truck, 20's 22's? If so tell me how the ride is and if you reccomend it.

Larger than stock sized rims...less rubber between road and wheel...bumpy ride? Gee...I don't see any corelation...
You want the look? You need to sacrafice something.

Get new rims that you like but get them in the same size that came on your rig and you should have the same ride. If you want the 20-23 inchers then "homey" you will have a bad ride, if the overall wheel/tire size ends up larger than stock you can also have negative effect on the electronic systems that control the handling of your new LX470 and it can void your warranty. Don't the new LX470's come with 18 inch wheels? Personally I like the 16 inch wheels and the better tires/ride that they bring, along with the better all weather handling. Good luck and enjoy your new LX470, you did good

I have 20's on my lx i did sacrifice the ride alittle but it looks great an the handling is much better. 20's with 305/50 rubber on them. I do not have any problems. I live in NYC and we have alot of potholes but the lx handle them with no problem. NYC streets are very similar as going off road.
Good luck

20's? Hmm thats what I was thinking of doing, what type of rims do you have. Also you said the handling is better, hows that, I thought the more rubber the better the grip more or less.
