Figure that Toyota/Lexus design their vehicles to fit the "norm" if you are heavier/taller/wider/shorter then the norm then you will not be as happy as us "average" guys. Hope you find the fix you need.

ahh ! here's the conclusion:
sat in the LS, and basically adjusted the height of the seat all the way upwards for the base, left the front side of the base(towards the pedals) the same lower height setting.
and the wierd setting basically equates to the setting that LX has as normal setting.
it seems like due to either the lack of space below the seats or some other wierd reason, the lx seats are very very high with respect to the rest of the vehicle. that ends up putting extra pressure on the back resulting in very very uncomfortable seating posture. !
i can't believe people don't complain about the seating posture on the landcruiser or lx.
i wish i had known this before i bought the truck.

with that said, is there a way to fabricate the bottom of the driver seat, so that it can lower more than it does at the moment ?
I know that there's the base of the truck right under the seat, but the base seems to be elevated at the points where the front seats are. which are not the case in the lx450's. I'm curious if it is something that is doable..

Just looking at the two pictures the LX450 seat appears to have more padding, thicker side bolsters and lumbar support. Makes me wonder where else Lexus may have dare I say "skimped out" on with the LX470? Who would want a thinner, shorter, less supportive seat?
