I have a 2003 LX470. Has anyone installed the TRD Supercharger? Does it void the Lexus pre-owned certification warrany? How much did it cost you"? Was it worth it? Who did your install? How much was the install? I have a bunch of questions, I would like to find someone to who actually has one first.

All great questions, and every report I have heard is that the perfromance improvements are substantial and well worthwhile. But, now the bad news. TRD has run into emissions cerification problems with the supercharger for the 4.7 L engine and was forced to pull the item from the market. It is NOT available from any vendor in the US at the present time. There has been no information forthcoming from TRD when or IF the part will ever be available again in the US. I want one for my LX470 and cannot find anyone who has one for sale.
It does not void the Lexus warranty, if installed by Lexus/Toyota it is warranted for the same mileage and time limits as the rest of the drivetrain. If installed by DIY or private shop then waranted for 1 year but still no effect on remaining warranty of original equipment. The retail price was $4600 but have seen them through Toyota (for the LandCruiser and Tundra) which are interchangeable with the 470 for about $3700 plus shipping. Install is probably doable by an advanced DIYer or any good mechanic, figure about 8 hrs of shop time. With install the HP and torque at 2800 rpm is about the same as stock running near redline producing peak HP and torque.
