LX500??? Interesting do you know anything else? Like when its going to be released??? For some reason I'll bet it will be next year. I always wait for the new model to come out, then I get sick of waiting, then I buy one. The next year they have a new one! God does that just **** me off, and because I just pay cash I don't want to sell it and lose money.

I'm not exactly sure, but the current bodystyle started in '98, so it won't be in the '02 and probably not '03 model year. Possibly in '03 as an '04 model...these are all assumptions though.

I saw a picture of the proposed new LX -- I think it will be the 500 -- but I can't remember. It was in a magazine I was reading in my dentist's office -- it was one of those "spy" pictures that talk about "proposed" models.
It could just have been one of the concept vehicles -- it's hard to tell nowadays.
Anyhow -- it seemed much less boxy with a more rounded look -- kind of like what Ford did to the front of the Mountaineer -- only bigger and more stylish. Actually -- picture a combination of the new SC430 styling features with the current LX -- very contemporary.

KlugerV is the HighLander..............
If there's a new LX it's gonna be a new LandCruiser 100 or 120 model.

The current Landcruiser is the 100 series, the next will most likely be the 120 or 130 or maybe even a 112, they've done stuff like that with the Landcruiser in the past i.e: FJ40, FJ42, FJ60, FJ62, 80 series and 100 series with different specifications etc....
I wonder if they're gonna go back to their off-roading days and destroy Range Rover once more, the current model LC was known as only good for "going to the mall" in the off-roading world and the Range Rover finally surpassed it in off-roading capability. I doubt it though, they probably wanna compete with Caddywack and stincoln. I hope they add some power under the hood, they were going 225hp vs Escalade 340hp! Even though the Lexus would go about 200,000 miles more. Hey, here's a though, is there anyway to make a inline 8? Inline engines are indestructible and that's what they had on the 80's series and my 450 and those things just don't die man! They're like all the customers that come to my dad's store with the Oxygen tank trailing behind them. They look like death more and more everyday but no, they come back for their 1/2 pint of 5 o'clock gin every morning!.

I spoke to a man that was a District Manager for Toyota parts at a dealer. He said that there were strong rumors of the new LX for a 2003 model. He said that through documentation, he say two sunroofs. Video screens for rear passengers that flipped down. 2 of them in the middle of the cab. It is the same size on the outside, but roomier on the inside. And a new 4wd system. That is all I got, but the price was suppose to be even less then right now.
