Hey all I think this is a stupid question, and I keep forgetting to look in the owners manual for the answer.

Here goes, a month ago when I put the LX into reverse I noticed the outside mirrors would tip down. When I took it out of reverse they would tip back up to the original position. But now for some reason I can't get them to do it. I don't recall doing anything special before, like pressing a button, or whatever. So does anyone know how the heck I can get it to do it again???

Nah, not a stupid question at all. I went through the same thing with our LS. In order for the mirrors to tilt down when in reverse the button that controls the "right" and "left" of the power mirrors must be positioned in the middle. If the button is on the left or right side the mirrors will not move - a nice feature if you do not want them to tilt when in reverse.

I think the switch as been in the middle since day one??? After I adjusted the mirrors I set it back to the middle. But I'll double check thanks.

Actually Pure Evil, LEXRX is wrong, sorry . The switch for the power mirrors must be switched to the left mirror or drivers side window. Try this, I went through the same exact thing when I first got my LX 470. Good luck.

sorry about that PUREVIL, I had the concept right but not the details. On the LS, when the power mirror switch is on the left or right position the mirrors will tilt down, but when in the middle they don't move. I had it backwards. I would think it is the same on the LX.

Hey guys thanks for the info. I put the switch to either the left or right mirror and they tilt down.

I figured it out. You have to have the power mirror switch either left or right, not center and they will tilt down when you put it in reverse.

YES they did give me info on how to get them to tilt. I thanked them for that, but then NaPoLeAn posted a message on how to get them to tilt after I already thanked them so to tell everyone I have it now I posted that message you quoted. Get it? You have to read it in order for it to make sense.
