Pretty good things have been said about the Michelin LTX tire. I would give this one hoever some serious consideration before buying as it's the latest technology & a very long tread wear rating!

Unfortunately, no size 18" for Toyo, which I am guessing is the size Permarsh needs. Take a look at Nitto Terra Grapplers also - I know they come in 285/60/18s. Tirerack.com should have reviews of the Pilot LTX.

I'll have to look but I am pretty sure my 2001 LX came with the Michelin LTX Pilots as stock?

If so, now 46K original miles on them and still running strong, been thru several NY/NJ winters and handled great.

The Consumer Reports rated some SUV tires 6 months ago. The Michelin LTX (not Pilot) was rated poor in dry braking. Toyo Open Country was rated poor in ice braking, not ideal for Canada.

The Toyo is a newly launched tire.......they will add more sizes in the coming months to be sure.

Those came stock on my LX.

I'm going to have Bridgeston AT Revo's installed this weekend. I've heard great things about those.

robert,

do you require the 275 70 16 size for your LX?
