The QX has a great powertrain........that's it. I was a HUGE Infiniti fan and was going to buy the QX56. I had a friend that did. He loved it for 60 days or so, then the rattles started. I got out of the car fever because my dad was ill and ended up with a V10 Touareg diesel. It SUCKED!! My friend ended up not liking the QX and I drove a new LX with 5 speed tranny and new gizmos. I took a huge hit on the Touareg and bought my LX. It's the best vehicle I've ever owned except for maybe my SC430!! Want to save some money?? Get a Landcruiser or a GX470. Even better, buy someone's used LX from this forum when they run out and buy a 2006 LX. You'll like them better than the QX. Nissan can build some powertrains, but that's it. Just my $.02!!

 

Doc C. We just bought our 2006 LX470 and nothing compares. I'm a car nut and did a lot of research and new SUV test drives and years of automobile magazines. My 1992 Toyota Lancruiser is still in the garage because of it's reliability. If I want to work on something all the time and which drives like a tractor, I'll drive my fleet below: LX is #1 for safety, reliability, and prestige.
