This forces 2nd gear starts in low traction conditions, such as snow, ice or thin mud. It does not make the truck go faster or slower, but reduces the chances of the tires breaking traction under slippery conditions when moving off.

Additionally, you can get a copy of the owner's manual if you want, either from your dealer or from techinfo.lexus.com. Also, lexus.com has an owner's area where you will find lots of information such as service intervals etc. for your vehicle.

you can have an owner's manual shipped to you free of charge if you register on Lexus.com. The page to request the manual is somewhere in the "owner's" section of their site.
