LX450 Squeak
Recently, our LX450 has been making a strange squeaking sound while driving. When the car is started, it makes a squeaking sound that sounds like its coming from the passenger side of the engine. It seems to go away while driving, but once the brakes are applied, the squeak comes back. It sounds kind of like something is loose and changes as you go over bumps. Anyone have an idea what it might be?

Is it a squeak or a clunk?
If it's a clunk....your in for a ride of confusion. Go to www.ih8mud.com and search in the FJ80 forums for "clunk". Mine has been diagnosed as about 12 different things by 10 different mechanics. It doesn't seem to be anything serious though, almost everyone has and have tried everything to fix it, some got lucky and some just gave up.
