97' LX450 keyless and more
Can anyone help me to program my remotes. I'm also looking for some hard to find parts like skid plates, tire well engine guards, and fender flare trim strips. I just got her and am working to get everything perfect after an owner who while kept the miles down didn't take care of much else. Any help would be great. Thanks.

The alarm/remote programming for the LX 450 is the same as for the '97 Land Cruiser.
What type of skid plate are you looking for? The only one I know of that comes with the LX 450 is the transfer case skid plate. It's not very sturdy. I replaced mine a couple years ago with a MUCH stronger one from Slee Offroad.
What do you mean by "fender flare trim strips"? Is this the adhesive that holds the flares on or the rubber moulding that runs along the flare and the body? FYI, this should be the same for 95-97 Land Cruisers. If you're looking ot replace this, you'd want to get new parts, rather than used. I get all OEM parts for my 450 from Dan at American Toyota in Abq., NM. He owns a Land Cruiser and is very knowledgable of these rigs. Let me know if you'd like his contact info (you can find it in the vendors section of www.IH8MUD.com as well.)

The front clip on my 450 was replaced and when they did left off the small strip that protects the front fender from the "plastic" fender flare. From what you say it sounds like a dealer purchase. Also they left out the wheel well interior piece that protects the engine from tire spray. Also dealer purchase? When it comes to skid guards the 450 looks naked compared to my 4Runner, is that normal? I though that some of that might have been left off as well. Do you have any ideas where to find that programing info? Thanks for all your help.

I put a response and more questions in my original thread.I'm not sure that was the correct place. Just a new guy learning my way. Saw your truck, damn. I guess to get your wife to let you do that you had to get her her own. Sounds like a good idea.
