Default DVD override

I have an 06 LX and have overridden the Nav so i could use it to find addresses while driving and have not noted any problems. But do you know how to override the DVD so it can be played while the car is in motion? The nav override does not override the DVD--and to play the DVD you are required to have the emergency brake on.

No, I did not buy any kit. There is an override for the Nav (which allows you to enter destinations etc while driving) -- that is a matter of some strokes to the screen. But is there a similar override to the DVD functions?

Sid, Where can I get the instructions on the override that you did? I don't plan to watch DVDs on the Navi screen, but I HATE having to stop to load a destination.

Default NAV Override

A set of button pushes can override the lockout on most 04,05,06 Lexus NAVs until the next time the vehicle is restarted by pushing the buttons in the following order: menu > volume > top left of screen, bottom left, top left, bottom left > override ((hold for several seconds until override is highlighted and beep occurs) > back. Destinations can then be entered while moving
