Should I put this on my car, with the rear brushgards? Maybe a chrome one? Any opinions appreciated!

P.S
does anyone know how I can get my car that shiny?!

Francis,

I think the brush guards complement the look of the LX very nicely. You should definitely get some if you're so inclined to do so. As for the shiny look, wax your car at least twice a year, double that if you live in the snow belt.

Unhappy Nope, it's a 6

Thanks for the replies but no, it's 4.5 liter V6, that's how all the 450's are. Extremely underpowered don't you think?

Question What is the difference....

What exactly is the difference between an inline 6 and a 6, and good point Sicklex, it's an extremely smooth ride.

inline-6, the pistons move parallel to each other, in the v6, they are offset at 90 degrees, in a V shape manner.
in the inline-6 its like II, get it?

Inline engines, like the IS300, the GS300 and the LX450 have the 6 cylinders arranged in a straight line from front to back (like most 4 cylinder engines). This makes for a long narrow engine with a long crankshaft. Inline 6 cylinder engines are typically longer front to back than a V8. V8 and V6 engines have the pistons arranged in 2 rows that form a V shape. The V shape is usually 90 degrees but may be something else, 60 degrees is also common. Some engines are build as flat or boxer style with the 2 banks being 180 degrees apart and usually parallel to the ground. This configuration is used in the original air cooled VWs flat 4, Subaru, Porsche flat 6 in the 911 cars and even flat 12s in Ferrari's Berlinetta Boxer (named for engine design). A few companies (Audi and VW) are experimenting with W engine in which the cylinders are arranged in 3 row or a "W" shape.

I consider INLINE 6 better. Don't know the reasoning, but seems like with all the V6 engines out there I believe the rare inline 6s are cool.

My brother has a 97 E320. That's the last year with the inline 6 3.2liter. the 98 E320 feels alittle smoother but not as fast and quick in response.
