Default Hydraulic System Gone Bad

I got on the road this morning and my 02 lx470 felt like a p.o.s. After hitting the smallest of bumps it took about 3 seconds for it to settle. After driving a little more, it got worse. I decided to take it to the lexus dealer. A block from the dealership, my height control light started flashing. When I pulled into the garage, the back or the truck was barely over the wheels. It was almost a low rider. The service dept. told me that the hydraulic fluid was contaminated. He suggested that maybe someone possibly put windshield washer fluid in there. Anyway, the bill came out to 6000 bucks. Then he told me that it wasn't covered by my warranty because the fluid was contaminated. I bought the car only 2 weeks ago. My question is: 1. Has anyone ever had this problem with the suspension system. 2. Who is supposed to cover this, the place I bought the car from or the lexus dealership? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Did they show you what it was contaminated with? Can they prove it is what im wandering. I stand over the guys when they change my oil. One kid was about to put in coolant. I quickly screamed at the top of my lungs and made him drop what he had in his hands. I have heard of this happening from the service department at the local Lexus dealer. It happened to a guy whos wife put washer fluid in. It came to about 3K bucks they said.

What did they replace? And who did your last service?

I have yet to get the car serviced. I have no idea what they put in there. Possibly windshield washing fluid.

Default bouncing like a basket ball

just bought 2000 lx470 with 80k, seems front is bouncing, yet all hydrolics work fine with no indicationof failure on dash. Fluid looks good and level and no leaks. When I push on the front end , although it is stiff and hard to puch down, it comes up and slightly bounces.....any clue ..please help...thanks

Sounds like the same problem I have except the back was far worse than the front. I just barely made it under warranty. Otherwise it was an 8k dollar job. (I was told)

Can you elaborate on this alittle more??

Sensors cost 6000 or 8000 dollars??

There was contamination?? or not??

What exactly was replaced??

Thanks for your help but without specifics....this information means nothing.

I was told that they replaced the accumulators. There was no comtamination. If you want, you can give me your e-mail address and I'll send you a copy of the bill that I have.

One sensor costs roughly 1800. They replaced it for free on my truck. If the ride height is uneven or bouncing its probably the sensors. btw theres 3 sensors on the truck.
