Auto starter for 1998 LX470
Has anyone had auto starter installed? Were you able to find a bypass unit for the 470's exisiting security system or did you need to use one of the extra keys to facilitate the auto starter use? Also, if the car was auto started, were you able to use the Lexus key to unlock doors or were you stuck with using the auto starter controls to unlock?

I have a Clifford Solaris Alarm/Auto Starter on my '00 LX. It does require a master key as part of the Starter installation.
My installation enables me to use both the Clifford remote as well as the car's key remote to open the doors. I would still need to use the Clifford alarm to disarm the Clifford alarm.

Here is a remote start the uses your lexus key, so you do not need a remote. I personally have\ not used it, but if you use the search, you will find many people who have had good results using it.
