Is it correct that all '06 LX come standard with a rear spoiler?

I believe its a $280.00 option that gets installed at the port or the dealer can install it.

What are your impressions of your new LX ? How's the upgraded power in the '06 ? Does it really improve the performance much, or is it still a tad sluggish ? You seem to have owned every Lex car/truck, except a GX, so you know a lot about these cars/trucks than I do. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I bought a used '03 LX470 last month myself, and slowly getting used to it.

I had a 2000 Landcruiser too.

It's still slow but it's better. I think the acceleration is acceptable for a vehicle of this size/weight.

hello there here is my .02 worth for my 06 had to get a new vehicle b/c my 99lx got smashed and i did not like the repair the biggest thing i notice is the trans especially in bumper to bumper traffic went i would get off the gas in my 99 the truck would slow rigth away with the new one it down shifts alot and you use the brakes more but i think its just me learning to drive the new thing the acceleration is not different; not a race car. oh by the way 06 are now made at a new plant in japan so quality is definetly different my sun roof rattels the passenger mirror does not tilt back after tilting down and the biggest is that my oil press guage does not work anymore

Not standard, but depending on sales region, the dealers may all order it. This was the case for us (northern NJ) where nearly all of the '06 LX had the spoiler and our car has it too. Not a big deal one way or the other IMHO, we liked the look so didn't mind it being included.

Does anyone know how the spoilers work for the CA (specfically S. CA) market?

I want the spoiler on my 2006 LX which is set to hit port mid Feb. One dealer is telling me that the part can be installed at the port for about $290. Another is telling me that I can't do that and need to go aftermarket (cost is about $690).

I've emailed Lexus directly but haven't heard anything back yet.

Any/all input is appreciated.

Go with the one that will do it for $290. Afterall, the factory cost is $280 port-installed.
