Default What Setting Are YOU? LX470 Owners Please Post

Cruising down the road tonight I was on a pretty bumpy weather beaten road and i did something i rarely do, switch my suspension to a different setting form Sport. Got me thinking, how does everyone else set their suspension in their 470? Please vote

Mine pretty much stay on the middle left. Comfort is too soft and the other two are too firm for my taste.

Mine is the same. After the 20" foose wheel the sport setting is too firm.

I pretty much switch between both of the middle settings. I live in NYC and the streets suck. I only use the comfort setting when I'm cruising on the hway.

Thanks for the votes, hope to see some more people. BTW 20blks, what foose wheels do you have? I live up in westchester and im worried about getting larger wheels because of these roads. How do they hold up to those city streets?

I don't own a LX but my Land Cruiser also has the TEMS. I like to keep it in the middle as in the middle the car automaticly adjust the suspension according to road condition. Nice pic you have there of your lx 1loudLX. Do you have a larger version of that picture?

middle right seems to work best on the local dirt (washboard) roads. Once I get back to civilization, read pavement, I go to far left if I remember.

Default There are actually 16 settings.....

in play. Within the Comfort to Sport range there are four computer selected settings each. If you are in Comfort the springs have less damping and more travel to allow smoother feel to bumps and holes. There is also more lean or body roll which is not desirable when cornering. The nifty thing about the system is if you are in Comfort or another softer position and you make a sudden maneuver the system will stiffen the damping to give you support automatically. The hydraulic suspension has load limits and will not raise up if too much weight is on board. Lastly, this beast weighs around 5400 lbs and if you take it into sand remember to let the air out of the tires to 20 lbs or less or you will need help extracting yourself......

Whenever I drive an LX, I vary between the comfort and midle left. Middle left feels better to me on the highway.

I'm in Chicago playboys... If you don't mind a beating, you set it to something other than comfort.

Comfort all the way. The only time we use the LX is to travel.

i bought 4 bathroom scales for overweight people and drove up on them....lol, jk.

I took my LX to a garbage dump. They weigh you in before and after you dump and then charge you by the weigh difference. Basicly i rolled up n told em i was just curious how much it actually weighed n the guy told me. I sopose you could stop at a weigh station on the highway too but the garbage dump was alot closer and there were no cops there to start asking me questions about my tint/lights and what ever else.
