Default service on my LX 470 in Seattle WA

Does anyone have any suggestions of good independent service companies inteh seattle area?

Paying the dealerchip $550 to change the oil, filters and fluids seems a bit outrageous to me.

Is that for the 15K interval service? My dealer charges $750! (engine oil, air filter, cabin air filter, fr/rr diff oil, t-case oil, drain & fill ATF, rotate tires). However, I find that my dealer is pretty reasonable for a la carte service (@$95/hr+parts, about the same rate as Toyota). You could always do some of the work yourself and have the dealer do the nasty/difficult/dangerous stuff, or the work requring special tools. I'm under the impression my dealer makes most of their profits from package service (e.g., 15K mi, 30K mi, etc.). If you blindly go in there and say, "do the 30K mi service," you get reemed. If you do most of it yourself, and just say, "flush the ATF [full flush, not a drain & fill]), you'll pay lots less.

You can also check if a Toyota dealer will perform the service. When I lived on the Eastside, I remember seeing LX450's in line for service (this is the Toyota dealer just east of the 405 not far from Bellevue way).

Called Toyota of Seattle.

They suggest the 60K servie (I have 53K on the car)

They do more stuff and charge 650

I have not really done anything to the car since 30K except oil change and tire rotation.

You probably ought to flush the ATF, coolant, replace the t-case/diff fluids, replace cabin/engine air filters, lube driveshafts, repack front wheel bearings (should do this at 30K mi intervals). Spark plugs (iridium) would be optional. The FSM doesn't recommend that until 120K mi, but in Japan, they do it at 60K mi (my local lexus dealer also does it at 60K mi).
