Not me!
Hey,
So I got into my LX this morning and tried to start it. It took like 6-8 trys to get it turned over but later in the day it starts like normal. I took it to a local mechanic and he looked at me funny and said " Seems Perfect." Should I replace anything or just wait awhile for the starter to do it again.
The starter was working, but it woudn't start the engine, but it starts fine now. I duno whats going on or what went on!
I searched this before posting, all I know is something with the starter contacts! (Maybe)
Thanks

I would suspect the starter if you have a hundred thousand miles or more.
If much less, check to insure the 10mm hold down clamps to the battery poles are snug. Or the battey itself is about to fail.

The battery is fine, I tested that!
I just don't know why it did it in the morning but didn't do it again.
Thanks

If you just here the solenoid "click" and there's plenty of juice in the battery (ie, enough to power the headlights, etc.), it's the starter contacts going bad. They degrade over time. I wonder if the longevity has to do the V8 likely drawing a lot more current through the starter contacts? I'm still on the original contacts on my 86 4runner. I know that starter requires little current to start the little 4-cylinder engine (I used to have a 450 cca battery that did fine).

it's definitely the starter. The same thing happened to me in my 1997 LX450 about a year ago. Sounds like the same symptoms I had. Thought it was the battery, but nope it was the starter. Took it to Tires Plus and haven't had a problem since. Hope this helped! Good Luck
