has anyone noticed post ARB installation that less people cut you off and move over when your behind them?
That was certainly true when I lived in LA and was driving my beater (still my dd). In other words, they know you don't care if you crunch 'em, 'cause your car is nearly worthless in terms of blue book value.:-) Plus I can drive like a bat-out-of-hell and hit the brakes hard if needed, since the modified brakes are damn excellent, and I have a 100 lb kaymar bar in the rear welded to the frame! (I did this to one dude tail-gating me in traffic and noticed in my rear view mirror he had to swerve into the left turning lane to avoid kissing my bumper). Now if you're driving a LC 100 or LX w/ ARB, they figure you won't hit 'em 'cause your car is expensive/newer, and you likely have more to lose.
chrome handles come standard over there. Joe, did one of those 100s have a fender replaced? it looks to me like it is the factory primer color. plus what's up with the clear rear windows on the right one but tinted door windows? I really want that bumer now.
Anybody want to buy a Waag center guard only? I need some money for an ARB
They have all sorts of toys over here. to start with... the either V or Inline 6. I got a chance to sit on on that was a 04, and it was a 6. Meanwhile... uparmored - There must be thousands of "working" ones... our here. Chrome is on tons them. There are some better pics available I just have to take them and I actually get to come home on leave!!! So - I will find some newer looking ones when I get back. One other thing - Barn door rear doors.... pretty sweet.
Jim_Chow - pardon my lack of knowledge, what is that? pretty cool
It's a 86 4Runner w/ 2" OME suspension lift, one-piece ARB winchbar. Since it has recirculating ball steering like the LC80, there is a steering stabilizer shock up front.
