Hey all
I noticed some of you guys have added in aftermarket HIDs to your stock projectors. How is the cutoff? Are there any stray glares? Did you have to adjust them down because the truck is tall?
Any pictures would be great! any cut off pics would be great as well!

No adjustments at all if you use re-based bulbs (the base has been changed since the HID bulb is really designed for a HID projector, which has a different focal point than a halogen projector. You have to either change the HID bulb base (from the stock D2R or whatever it is) so the light appears at the same spot as the focal point of the halogen projector. The other option is to swap out the halogen projector for a true HID projector, but this is a lot more work. I didn't make any adjustments at all, no glare...just a lot more light, especially for peripheral lighting. Beware that HID kits vary in quality. Most of us use the xenondepot kit since it's highly regarded (philips components). Check out 1LOUDLX's pics.
