My 03 will lower a little when put in park w/ the engine idling for maybe 15 sec. It feels more like the back lowers rather than the entire vehicle. If I cut the engine immediately after putting it into park, there is no lowering effect (at least I don't feel the sudden drop like w/ the engine idling). Otherwise, the only way to get the entire vehicle to lower is to put it in "L" while driving < 9 mph. Once the speed hits 9 mph or more, it goes into "N". It will stay in "H" up to 19mph in 4wd hi or 31mph in 4wd low (something like that).

You know I really need to do a test and confirm. The times its "lowered" were when my kids noticed it as we parked in the garage. Personally, I don't recall if I ever felt the car lower itself, while in park or turned off. I'll do a test and see how mine behaves...
