Default Installing 3rd Row Seats

All,

Is there some sort of magic touch I'm lacking? My wife took out the right 3rd row seat by accident. Yeah, I know it's hard to believe, but she says she was just trying to fold it up and pulled the wrong lever.

I am having a heck of a time trying to get the front hook to grab the bar. The directions seem to reference sliding the rail forward by pulling the lever, but I can't get my seat to do this. Any tips are greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

You just have to keep messing with it. Try spraying some wd40 on the front hook. Try not to throw your back out also

There are instructions on the side panel, but I think you have to pull the Lock/Unlock level back and then push it in the get the front hook to grab!

those things are such a ***** to take out/put in. How your wife just, on accident took it out pisses me off. Things that happen on accident happen so easy, while when your actually trying to take them out or put them in it seems like you will never get it.

Also, make sure the mechanism is working property on the little levers. After 45Mins of cursing and fight my left rear 3rd seat...i realize that there was a little rod that had popped out of where it should be, and my lever wasnt doing the proper actions needed to install the seat.

The next day i took the seat out beacuse i didnt need it anymore. Go figure...took me 10 seconds to take out.

"Accidentally, ha!" That's what I said to my wife.

I will check the lever this evening to make sure it is moving properly. It's nice to hear other owners have been frustrated by these seats as well.

Thanks! I put the seat upright and starting looking around, grab the lever and pushed the rail forward and voila! It worked. It went in after about 2 minutes of putting everything in place. Thanks for the advice in post #4.

No, you can't have my GS because I'm 3 payments aways from paying it off and I don't think my wife would like you very much. She's in it today as the LX has to get it's safety inspection. I hope it comes back to me in one piece!

That's the most unusual comparison I've ever read, but it's TOTALLY true! Those seats weigh, what 40lbs a piece?
