Exclamation Key Not Working

I have done some reasearch
and I found that my keys are recharged when plugged into the vehicle(?)
is this true?(note that this is a 2002 LX)

I thought these were run by insert batteries....
HELP PLEASE!!

Dude. It takes a watch battery. Undo that screw on there, pry the black shells apart, and there will be the electronic "guts" where you can put a new battery in.

O then the lexus salesman is plain dumb
He had told me it recharges whenplugged into the car(?)
BTW whatbattery does it use?

Well, I'd have to take my key apart to tell you. I think it would just be easier to take your key apart....

just replaced mine yesterday cuz i was bored. CR1616 is corrrrect. Go to the lexus dealership and pay 30+ dollars for the battery, or go to radio shack and pay 4 dollars, your choice.

go to radio shack, they should have them in stock and will probably even replace it for you with their tiny little screwdriver

DANGthe dealer charges $30....
I just replaced it yesterday.
I bought mine at radio shack for 4.99
But I replace the battery.
Anyone know where to replace the screw that holds the OUTSIDE plastic covers togather?

no its that its getting hard to screw them back on because they are getting......you know , um "screwed often" and getting to be hard to screw on
I HAVE NOT LOST THEM
