Default how to replace navigation screen

I just bought a lexus and the nav. screen is really messed up and ugly. I want to replace it ? Any experiences?

You have to replace the entire head unit. Cheapest I've ever seen was on eBay for around $800. They're around $4800 new from the dealer.

Somewhere I read to use some kind of solution to clean up the screen, I know it is not helpful.

You can do it with just water. Just make sure you use something non-abrasive.

Wow! That's a huge price difference. I guess I should make a visit to the local junk yard and scour for spare parts while I'm not desparate. There's no way in h*ll I am going to pay $4800 for a new head unit.
