How about including the factory auxiliary fuel tank above the spare like all LX's and LC's in Australia get?

how about, its a cheap *** marketing scheme that toyota devised. Its poor and i think they should have actually made it a "limited edition" and not just throw some random crap on it.

They should have really made it unique, this is just basic things from other markets they just threw into a US market truck and shipped off. They really should have gone all out on a "limited edition" I would pay another 5k for something really unique then all the other lx's driving around.

Well when Chevy does the limited ed. they add about $200 in parts and paint and charge about $3000 more for it. At least Lexus charges only a couple of hundred for their limited with about $100 in added crap.

I think the black wood would be awesome, if it's the same stuff that's in the Limited 4Runner.

Hoser, check this.

i dont know, i liked it off the bat and then i realized how very "limited" this is in terms of special features. I would have loved to see more thought put into it but you are right in your stuff about chevy.

Adam, the black wood IS awesome, ive seen it in the sedans. I would still love to get my hands on one of these puppies so i can make it even more "limited".

maybe I can find one next year when i get a new car...if i dont opt for a sedan instead.

It looks like all they changed is color coded scuff plates, some chrome under the windows, chrome door handles, and a OEM $50 chrome exhaust tips.
Opps I forgot. The cheap looking "limited edition" badge.

I am starting to dislike the designers for the lx

What limited edition is that again?

Chevy has "SS", Pontiac has "GXP", Saturn has "Redline", Caddy has the V-series... all of them are substantially different from their standard counterparts, to the point of often times having engines with 50+% more power, unique suspension, interior items, wheels, tires, etc.

Everyone's getting more and more guilty of package "trickeration". The Tahoe LT package now comes in 3 flavors, and the Tacoma SR5 package now has 7 varieties.

Of course some of these will be "bling" packages. On the flip side, a lot of the dealer options are a hell of a lot cheaper if put on at origination, such as the oft-discussed LX470 spoiler. Yeah, I know there are thievery options (permavin, paint protection, etc), but most of these are not "hard" options, and easy to see through.

Final thought on the LX Limited; I'd be willing to pony up the extra few hundred because I like the black wood that much; but I wouldn't because I dislike the stone leather that much more.
