Good day, I'm a new member here. We just bought a 98 LX470 Dubai version a few days ago (we're in the Philippines). The car comes with factory HIDs, but I seem to notice that only the middle light (high beam HB3) is HID while the low beam H1 is not, can anyone verify this? Or how will I be able to tell which beam comes with factory HID.

There's no Lexus dealer in our country. Units are grey market. Anyway, just visited a TLC specialist here and they indeed confirmed that only the high beams are HID.

I'm in Dubai and have owned 3 LX470's at various times in the past (one was US-spec and the other 2 were GCC specs as we call them here). I can confirm that the LX sold here had the high beam HID only. There was no low beam HID.

I had imported one US-spec LX from Texas (no high or low beam HID) and had installed low beam HID kit for about Dhs. 1,200 (about US$ 350). It worked fine as long as I kept the vehicle. So I would imagine you could do the same and have both high & low beam HID.
