custom seat covers/floor mats
guys.
searched this forum and didn't find any good info on custom seat covers. anyone have any info? wet waders/wet dog paws/spilled kid stuff on nice lexus leather just ain't gonna work....
also, would anyone recommend the lex all weather mats/cargo area covers vs. a comparable aftermarket company like the catchall extremes? link:

I got the nifty catch-alls. For the front, they give much better coverage than OEM, as they extend up higher and form a "pocket" to catch all the debris. For the 2nd row, they don't cover as much as the OEM carpeted mats (OEM mats extends further under the front seats). The OEM rubber mats look promising. I don't allow my lab in the passenger area. Whenever she's in the LX, she's in her kennel in the back (36x30" kennel, fits with 3rd row seats folded or w/o 3rd row). This limits the cleanup to vacuuming the dog hair around the perimeter of the kennel. The dog doesn't use the kennel in my old 4runner (kennel won't fit), so the car is a mess w/ dog hair, dirty paw prints everywhere (got bedsheets on the recaros up front). Dog also barfed on the 2nd row seats once. As far as kids spilling food, don't allow anyone to eat in the car! It's your car, so you can make the rules.

good points jim.
i guess small children don't actually 'require' the sippy cups that they inevitably dump inside autos... i've been a parent for about 6 weeks, so i'm still finding my way.
as for dogs, i have two little mini pinschers that ride in the front. i should be more worried about noses on windows and paws on window controls than actual dirtying/destroying seats.
my main reason for seeking covers is that when out fishing it's nice to be able to throw the fly rods on the roof rack and just drive up or downstream a bit while still in waders and wading boots. the benefits of seat covers for kids and dogs will be the day to day benefits, but the real need is for my filthy buddies and i on camping/fishing trips.
i'm sure i'll find something.
