Hmm, lots of black colors. Optically I don't see blacks that often at all around here. May be its just here though.

I personally would never buy a vehicle in black color, or black interior. But apparently it is just me

Is black Falcon 2 tone gray on the bottom on that List? I wish I had solid White/Silver/.. actually just a solid color would do.

Val, you should cover your whole truck in clear bra material. That way it cant get scratched anymore.

I do a fair bit of off-roading, and the truck was scratched visibly even on the beige. I had to buff it, which helped. But you can buff it only so many times

I have scratches in the clear coat, but they are difficult to see. Colors close to white will hide scratches/fading/dirt well. Dark colors will show them (and dirt) well. Colors closer to red will fade faster (longer wavelength). White means the paint reflects all visible wavelengths (and some UV/IR, so cooler, less susceptible to fading). Black absorbs all wavelengths. The only color criteria I have when buying any car is (1) no black, (2) no red, (3) no green. My reasons are heat (can fry eggs on the hood of a black car), safety (black/silver are difficult to see at night, more suceptible to getting hit), and it shows dirt too easily. There seemed to be a lot more used blacks for sale than any other color.

I got a black one because it is beautiful when clean and mine is clean 95% of the time. Why do you see black cars on TV/movies when the rich and powerful are driving a car. It you want a low maintance color get beige or silver. If you want to look good get black.
