Default Best Place to Find a Used LX

Hello,

I am looking to purchase a used LX470. 2000-2003 range. Can someone please direct me to places where I might find an exceptional deal? I am a student so this purchase is going to be difficult for me....

I would even purchase a wrecked vehicle as I have friends that do body work!

If anyone could help I would appreciate it!

Thanks,

slevytam

Hi,

Thanks for your replies. I have tried these two sites.

Do you know of any auction sites besides ebay that aren't scams ? I have a friend that has a dealer license so those are possible as well.

Thanks again !

How about checking a local Lexus dealer?

If you have a friend with a dealer license, your best bet would to take advantage of that connection. Generally speaking, you'll find the same car for less at a dealer auction than if you were to buy retail (from a person or a dealer). There's always exceptions to the rule but LXs aren't exactly saturated in the market to the point where everyone is trying to dump one. If I were you, I'd go to the auction first but still keep an eye out for local sales. Check your want ads too and craigslist.com

What are you looking to spend?

There's a seller on eBay that has some ridicuous prices on Lexus cars and SUVs that I look at from time to time. He is located in the Cleveland area and I have read his feedback 95% positive I believe. I'll update this post with his account name so you can look for yourself. Here's the thing, you can see from the photos that the vehicles are sometimes missing shift *****, NAV discs, floor mats, etc. I consider his vehicles sub-prime condition vehicles (read:lightly wrecked vehicles), but the prices cannot be beat. If you simply want to get into an LX regardless of near-perfect condition, take a look.

Here's his account name: icckk
