If your owner's manual says h1 bulbs (my guess), it's the h1 kit. My 03 as well as the 98-02 use the h1 kit.

Welcome to Club Lexus. I would go and check the manual, and if you clearly can not find an answer, go and open a headlight and check the bulb. www.xenondepot.com is where both Jim and I got our plug and play kits from. Unlike a Full retrofit conversion, these just replace your stock halogen bulb with a rebased HID bulb for the proper fitment. They require you to do very MINOR modification(IE:drill a hole, OMG!) and use relays to ensure the factory wiring is not harmed.

What do you mean by drilling a hole? I installed the H11 on my recent GX and did not have to drill any holes. I also saw that Jim Chow mentioned in another post to drill a hole in the back of the light? Did I miss something? I thought the H1 kit for the LX was supposed to be installed as a plug-n-play just like their other kits? Can you please clarify.

I said to drill a hole (IIRC, 24-25mm) in the back of the gray plastic cap that attaches to the back of the light. This cap seals the headlamp from weather. 1LoudLX and I got ours at the lexus dealer for about $4 each. Price is higher now, I believe. It comes w/ the wire that connects the harness to the H1 bulb. I used the harness end connector and soldered that to the xenondepot harness to trigger the relays. This means you don't have to tamper with the vehicle's harness.

Sorry, I'm still not understanding. With my GX470 H11 XD kit, this is all I did:

1. Remove halogen bulbs from factory light harness.
2. Plug XD bulb harness into factory light harness.
3. Install bulb into lens housing.
4. Connect relays to bulbs and ballasts.

I never had to tamper with the vehicle's harnesses. Are the LX470 harnesses different than the GX470 harnesses so as to require splicing if I don't do as you suggested above?

Thanks.

Different harness. The XD for the LX is a H1 kit, ends of the XD harness have no connectors, IIRC. I connected the ARB fog lights in the same manner...cut off the OEM fog connector, soldered on the new harness so the factory fog switch triggers the relay and the bulbs pull current directly from the battery. This is pretty much the standard installation for any aftermarket lamps/harness.

Okay, thanks Jim, I was not aware of that.
